Nick became involved in advertising early in his life and eventually became
the creative director for an advertising agency handling the FedEx print
business. In 1990 he founded his own agency which went on to become
Metaphor Inc. that focused on the healthcare industry. Early clients
included Novartis, J&J, Konica Medical and Parke Davis to name a few. In
2001, Metaphor became the agency of record for Reliant Pharmaceuticals and
grew from 10 employees to 30. In 2006 GSK purchased Reliant. From that
point the agency's major clients included Graceway, Becton Dickinson, DePuy
Mitec, Medicis, Aqua, Ethicon and Mist, a startup currently marketing
Tirosint and other drugs.
Nick's approach is simple - know the science, understand the market,
research the competition and see the customer need. From these, he
establishes the essence of the brand and begins the concepting and
development process.
